“ This place is AMAZINGLY good! Ive been here several times, and I decided it was time to give them a review! Id recommend Las Penitas to anyone who likes Mexican food! I have never had a bad experience at Las Penitas! The food here is consistently delicious and full of flavor. I had the carne asada super burrito today, and it was sooo good! 3 hours after eating that burrito, and Im still full! The staff are friendly and quick, the restaurant is clean and has an authentic atmosphere to it! Food is prepared pretty quickly, and the prices are very reasonable! They do get very busy at times, so keep that in mind when you decide to eat here. Dont leave a bad review saying you had to wait forever for your food. Its a popular place to eat and a lot of people come here! Ill continue coming back here. Try it for yourself! ”
“ Great Mexican restaurant. Run by a nice family. Burritos, flautas, mulitasall great. Very good aguas de horchata, Jamaica, mango and pina. Serving up some pretty legit flavors in a nofrills, pay at the counter environment with great ranchera tunes playing in the background. This is one of my favs in town. I cycle between Las penitas, Taqueria Sol Azteca which stands out for its fresh, handmade tortillas and the Herradero express taco truck by Westwood discount. I confess that I havent been to most of the Mexican restaurants in town with table service yet because the food is fresh and authentic enough for me at these spots, and I doubt Ill get more authentic fare at the others. Note I did see a hand written sign stating that prices will be going up on March 6th 2025. Their burrito has been the best value in town for a while, so thats not too surprising. Ill try to update when I get back there again after the price change. ”

They had a delicious salsa on top that when I go back, Ill see if they can put more on because it was so delicious. The prices are really good you definitely should eat here. Dont let the less than ideal atmosphere sway you its worth a visit. ”
